Our greatest adventure is here: our first baby is about to arrive. 👶 Just us two — no family in New Zealand, just a couple of clueless first-time parents about to discover what "no sleep" really means. 😅
But before we step into this new chapter, we need to honor the one that made it possible. 8 years ago, we were two foreigners who believed hard work was how you contribute to a new country. We opened CIELITO LINDO in an industrial area where nobody thought we'd survive. We had no marketing budget, no influencers — just a kitchen and a stubborn belief that flavor speaks louder than addresses. You found us anyway. You brought your friends. They brought theirs. Eight years later, that's the only reason we're still here.
CIELITO LINDO was our first baby. And this little one who is coming 👶 might just run it someday👨🍳.
Taking a pause: THIS WEEKEND WILL BE OUR LAST DAY WORKING.
