Hey Manurewa โ something worth sharing today.
The Bluelight JAM Programme has been running in our community for 8 years now and this year 36 of our young people are up at 6am every Wednesday morning for fitness training and mentoring before school starts.
They have camps, they have mentors, and later this year they have a Graduation and Prizegiving night where students and their families come together to celebrate what they have achieved.
Here is where we need your help.
The organising team are looking for local businesses to donate prizes or vouchers for the Graduation night โ spot prizes, category prizes, gift cards, products. Anything at all is appreciated and every contribution goes directly to recognising these young people for the work they have put in.
If your business can help or you know someone who can please reach out to the Manurewa Business Association directly or send a message to the Bluelight JAM team.
These are Manurewa kids working hard and our community has always shown up for them. Let's do it again.
Tag a local business owner who might want to get involved.

There are a lot of great businesses across Manurewa and South Auckland quietly doing the hard work every day without much recognition.
The 2026 2degrees Auckland Business Awards are now open, and this is a good opportunity for local businesses to step forward, reflect on what theyโve built, and get recognised for the work they do in their communities and industries.
Whether you run a cafรฉ, retail store, trade business, service business, or something completely different, there are categories open to businesses of all kinds.
Businesses can also be nominated by others, so if thereโs a local business you think deserves recognition, nowโs a good time to back them.
Entry is free.
