Conch Kitchen and Bar is a Latin Caribbean inspired restaurant and bar located in the heart of Ponsonby, Auckland. The restaurant specializes in jazz, funk, soul, world music, independent hip-hop, reggae/dub, downtempo as well as dubstep/funky/techno on vinyl & CD. In addition to the delicious food and drinks served at Conch Kitchen and Bar, they also stock a range of associated bits including hats, t-shirts, DVDs, Art & Books.
The restaurant has recently expanded its opening hours to include Tuesdays from 4pm and Sundays. They also offer Hallertau happy hour until 6 pm every day except Sunday. The new menu items are worth trying out especially the Patatas a la Pobre (poor man's potatoes) which is a colorful fusion of smoky roasted potatoes, peppers and capers with sour cream and salsa roja.
Conch Kitchen and Bar is not just a place to eat but also an entertainment hub with vinyl DJs playing till late.
