Update: that’s a Yes! It’s going on the winter menu 😎
Utterly delicious- simple and humble, yet elegant. The leeks silky and the occasional zesty touch of melting lemon 🍋 with fall off the bone chicken - what more would you want in a dinner? Oh.. we would probably serve it with Turkish rice pilaf, and Greek yogurt or tzatziki … a complete meal.

Evolution of a dish, posted in reverse order - finished dish of chicken cooked with leeks, carrots, tomato & lemon, well seasoned and doused with extra virgin olive oil. Typical of Lokanta style food where there’s no fussy prep - just put it all in a tray and cook til golden and appetising, with that particular ‘Done’ aroma wafting around - time to take it out of the oven, let cool a bit, then devour. We would put a dollop of Greek yogurt on top - it’s delicious!
Keep a lookout next month for some seasonal menu changes - we’re eating this tonight, deciding whether it will be on the Winter Menu 😋

Aegean Island Goat.
As eaten on the Aegean island of Ikariya (home of Icarus - you know, who flew too close to the sun..? 🌞), just off the Turkish coast, and visited by Chef Zeki whenever he can. That goat dish has now been on Lokanta’s menu for exactly 10 years. Being as that’s exactly how long Lokanta has been open. 💫🐙🤩🌞

To get to Lokanta, take a bus or train to the Stop Balmoral Station located near Richmond Road. Walk east on Richmond Road for about 10 minutes until you see the restaurant on your left. If driving, there is street parking available on Richmond Road and nearby side streets. Be sure to check for any parking restrictions before leaving your car.
