Hapunan is a Filipino restaurant and caterer located on Main Road in Auckland, offering delicious Pinoy dishes with a modern twist for takeout. Recently, they announced a pop-up location at the Goodside in Smales Farm for the month of June, where they will be serving lunch on weekdays with a rotating menu. They are also hiring a temporary chef to work alongside Aldrin during their time on the shore. After what feels like forever, Aldrin and I have finally packed our bags and headed off on a little family adventure ✈️

We’re currently exploring Japan 🇯🇵 for the next several days before making our way through Korea 🇰🇷 & Shanghai 🇨🇳, before eventually heading back home to kick off our FOOD TRUCK SUMMER SEASON 💪🏼

I’m not going to lie… this is a little nerve-racking for us because it’s actually the first time we’ve left Hapunan to run while we’re away 😅 We’re so used to being there every day, so handing over the reins and trusting our amazing team to hold down the fort at both C*D & Huapai HQ is definitely a new experience for us ✌🏼

But after 2 years without a proper holiday, we know it’s something we really needed 😌

So for the next little while, we’re going to try our best to switch off, spend some much-needed time together as a family, explore & most importantly EAT all the food we can and definitely come home feeling refreshed and ready for a huge summer 🤎

I’ll still be keeping an eye on our emails while we’re away, although replies might be a little slower than usual depending on Wi-Fi, time zones and how distracted I am by stuffing our faces 😅

The Food Truck 🙌🏻 is back on the road this week!

After 6 months of being out of action, we’re back this Friday & Saturday to begin the start of a busy Summer Food Truck 🌺 season 😉

A commitment to maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency.
Pride in contributing ideas while respecting established recipes and kitchen procedures.
Experience with food preparation, stock rotation, and minimising food waste.
Flexibility to work across both our Huapai restaurant and food truck when required.
