If you enter a cafe or restaurant and see someone like Maité standing there ready to look after you — you just KNOW it’s going to be a great day.
Here she is! So friendly, so sweet… yet still being an absolute warrior during a busy service.
Her favourite coffee? A large cappuccino with chocolate on top. ☕ Her favourite football team? Brazil. 🇧🇷 Her favourite dessert? A chocolate cookie. 🍪
If you don’t see her around, she’s probably studying at Auckland Uni. Well… sometimes you wish uni just didn’t exist so you could keep these amazing team members every day and forever 🥹🥹

The Long Bay Coffee Workshop is back, and this year there’s something for every level! Come explore the world of coffee with us - why matcha has become popular, what sets filter coffee apart from espresso, what‘s brewing in the NZ coffee scene… our in-house barista will guide you through tastings, and you’ll even get to pour your own latte art heart by the end of it 🫶
We‘re running two sessions this year:
1️⃣ Beginner workshop | 15th August
Perfect if you’re new to coffee and want to build a solid foundation — we’ll cover all the basics to get you ready for more!
2️⃣ Advanced workshop | 29th August
Already making coffee at home or know your way around the basics? This one’s for you! We’ll dive deeper into coffee knowledge and get your latte art to the next level!
Spots are kept small so everyone gets a great experience - grab yours before they fill up! See you on the other side of the machine ✌️
