Did you know? Ever since we started our food truck back in 2014, owner chef Kazu has been hopping on his bike to deliver flyers all around the area — West Harbour, Hobsonville, Te Atatu, Waimauku, Greenhithe and more, you name it!
Through scorching summer days and freezing winter ones. Old school? Maybe. But that’s pure Kazu — showing up, putting in the work, one pedal at a time. 🚲
The hospitality industry is tough right now, and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t feel it. But it’s those little efforts — and your amazing support — that keep us going 🙏

Our gozen set stands out with its unique take on home-style Japanese food, bringing a touch of community to every meal. The seasonal small side dishes, (calls “okazu” or “kobachi” in Japanese), are all homemade with love, just like mum used to make. Seeing regular customers enjoy these special dishes is what keeps us going, and we're committed to keeping them on every menu. A Small Update from Peko Peko
To our wonderful community,
Since 2014, Peko Peko has been your home for authentic Japanese soul food.
As many of you know, the past year has been incredibly challenging for the hospitality industry. We have worked hard to navigate these times while staying true to our quality and our team.
To ensure we can continue serving you for many more years to come, we will be making a small price adjustment across our menu, effective from May 2026.
This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one to keep our kitchen cooking and our doors open.
Thank you for your incredible support through the ups and downs. You are the reason we are still here today ❤️

When the day like today’s weather, we know how hard to keep business open as we started from the little food truck. Today, despite the weather warning, we were quite busy for both lunch and dinner trading. We had a couple of big takeaway orders for company lunch and family gatherings. Thank you for choosing us and so grateful to be able to serve our food to our community 🫶 Please stay safe and dry everyone! We will see the weather and will be flexible on our opening hours for tomorrow 🙏

Take the train to West Harbour station, then take the bus 120 towards Hobsonville Point and get off at the stop near Hobsonville Road. Walk along Hobsonville Road until you reach Unit 6/102C.
Driving/Parking:
From Auckland CBD, take the State Highway 16 towards Westgate. Take exit 18 and turn left onto Brigham Creek Rd. Turn right onto Hobsonville Rd and drive for about 1 km until you reach Unit 6/102C on your right. There is parking available in front of the building or on the street.
