grateful for the crew. Not just the 5 you see here but also the army of bakers it took to prepare for this very day. Because we want the baked goods to arrive as fresh as possible, we have 3 dedicated drivers to drive on rotation between the 2 trucks through the night from AKL to WLG so that we can arrive by morning so Hannah & I can start trading.
Grateful for the crew & grateful for you.

I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my life…
Debuting NZ’s Tiniest Cookie Truck by Moustache Cookies. Today we embark on our maiden voyage convoying under the wing of our OG Cookie Truck. This small but mighty 660cc Kei Truck will attempt to drive 660kms from Auckland to Wellington. 1km for every cc it has.

We used to do Cookie for a Can back when I first started Moustache & I had no spare money to give back. BUT I knew we could bake! So I started Cookie for a Can as a way of exchanging our baking for cans so that we could donate those to charity instead. Now that it’s our 14th Birthday soon, I wanted to bring Cookie for a Can BACK to pay respect to the 21-year-old version of me who first started it.
This time the charity I’ve chosen is a small, local one not far from our Henderson store - the Animal Food & Wellbeing Bank run by the lovely Carissa 🩵 I first met Carissa at a market where she was selling candles to raise money to buy pet food for people in the community struggling to feed their pets during these tough economic times. She said she helps a lot of elderly people who can no longer work & without help, would have to surrender their pets because they can no longer afford to feed them 🥺
Carissa’s been creating pet food parcels for people ever since COVID but shared that recently it’s been a struggle to get donations so she might have to close the service down despite so many people needing help 😔 Her story really spoke to me & I thought she was the perfect local charity for Cookie for a Can. I’d really love to shower her and her charity in hundreds of cans of pet food so that she can continue to do her amazing mahi & help hungry pets get fed!
It would mean the world to me if you would like to get involved. In times like these, it’s more important than ever to look out for one another & those in our community. PLUS, you get a free cookie out of it so it’s a win, win really 😏😜

6 DAYS. 😭 8 weeks ago I said I wanted to create a $14,000 community scholarship. At the time, Sep 14th felt SO FAR away. And now it’s literally next Monday 😂
But somehow, because of our ridiculously generous community, we’ve raised $7160.60! 😱 That’s alotta truck runs, a charity auction & 427 donated cookies 🍪♥️
We’re officially more than halfway there !
We have $6839.4 to go in the next 6 days…which is slightly terrifying 😂 BUT
DW, I have one final week of absolute organised chaos planned.

Not only will the Moustache Cookie Truck be slinging cookies all day at 7 Marion Street 10:30am-6pm, but there will be a limited run of custom Beer Cookies exclusively at all GP venues (Leeds St | Kingsland | Aro). Better yet, it’s all for a great cause! Moustache’s epic road trip down to Wellington is a fundraiser. To celebrate our 14th birthday on 14th September, we will be launching a scholarship worth $14,000 to help deserving Kiwi’s reach their dreams. I will take her on another two lessons this week - can’t wait to show you her progress after them! Such a joy to see her flourish. You can see her confidence growing every lesson 🥰 WATCH OUT WORLD, she’ll be able to drive our baby cookie truck in no time! beep beep! 🚙💨

so proud of Frances today for overcoming her fears & acing her first lesson in manual. Not only did she learn to upshift from 1st to 2nd, she nailed reversing AND even made it out of the carpark for a second! Amazing progress. Proud boss moment 🥹 *sniffle* they grow up so fast

I’m in total disbelief 🥺 THANK YOU to Steve from Moselle Panel & Paint…Steve was the winning bidder of our Mega Mallowpuff Charity Auction with a whopping bid of $825 🤯 And as you can see from the vid, that’s not where it ended 😭 because of Steve, our fundraising efforts have now gone from $4522 to $5847 which means we are almost halfway there with 3-4 weeks still to go 🥹🙌🏼 100% of this money will go towards the first ever Moustache Scholarship for deserving Kiwi’s in our community to support them in their dreams 💖
To Steve & everyone else who has been a part of making this scholarship come true…thank you. Over 14 years I’ve wanted to do a scholarship & I can’t believe it’s actually happening now

no freaking way. I’ve been too nervous to check TradeMe myself (didn’t want to jinx it) but when I last checked it was at $625 which I was certain was the ceiling.
The winning bid ended up being a whopping $825 😭 THANK YOU to Steve from Waitakere who is now the brand new owner of the biggest Mallowpuff in the world 🤣 Because of him, 100% of this money will be going towards scholarships for deserving Kiwi’s in our community. Awesome stuff.

I get nervous checking TradeMe for some reason (like I’m gonna jinx it or something 😅) so I haven’t checked since then (has anyone bid since then?!) but OMGGGG never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d be here.
