A huge congratulations to everyone involved in putting this event together.
The organisers, volunteers, families and helpers did an incredible job planning, setting up and creating such a fantastic atmosphere. The effort that went into transforming the venue was clear to see, and it was great to be part of such a well-run event.
We love seeing our venue being used to bring people together and support our local community.

🎶 Live Music This Tuesday at The Taproom 🎶
We’ve got a big night lined up for NZ Music Month this Tuesday with Musical Mangawhai bringing another awesome Open Mic night to the bar - plus a special live set from local band Talute.
🎤 Open Mic kicks off from 7pm
🎸 Talute will be playing from around 8–8.30pm
Talute are a super talented local 6-piece band blending Pacific reggae, folk and indie rock, led by open mic regular Chris Davis. We’re pretty excited to have them playing here at the Taproom for NZ Music Month.
Doors open from 5pm, kitchen running as usual, cold drinks flowing and good tunes all night.
As these nights get incredibly busy, we won’t be taking bookings any longer for Open Mic nights - just come on down and grab a spot on the night 🙂

We’ll be open from 8AM this ANZAC Day - we’d love to have you join us.
After the dawn service, come in and warm up with a hot coffee and a bacon + egg bap.
We’ll also be serving our full breakfast menu, plus a free ANZAC biscuit with every hot drink.
To observe ANZAC Day, we won’t be applying our public holiday surcharge until 1PM. A 15% surcharge will apply from 1PM onwards.

Big news for Easter weekend 🍻
With today’s change to the Easter trading rules, we’re now able to serve alcohol without the need to purchase a full meal.
Because of this, our bar will be open from 3pm every day this weekend 🙌
Unfortunately, as our rosters were confirmed prior to this change, we’ll be operating from our bar side only on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
We’ll also have our Easter menu available all weekend 🐣
Pop in for a drink, a bite, or both - we’d love to see you!
