Yesterday, we closed the doors of the old Murphy’s for the last time… and yes, someone may have cried into their last pint. 🍺

We tried to keep it quiet to keep our ever-dwindling team of staff sane — the final day was absolutely packed. Pints were flowing, stories were shared, and our heroic team somehow survived with smiles intact.

The taps may be off, but this isn’t goodbye. Bits of the old place are heading into the rebuild, and Murphy’s will be back — same spirit, fresh walls, and maybe even a few surprises. 🍀

🍀 Big News from Murphy’s Law & O’Malley’s 🍀
As many of you know, the Murphy’s Law restaurant closed last Sunday. Now we want to share what’s next for us, and for Drury.

O’Malley’s Sports Bar is still open, but only for a little while longer.

The land our pub sits on has been sold to developers; the only thing we know for certain about what's going in the development is US! 👉 We’ve purchased a block of land to rebuild Murphy’s Law! 🎉
This isn’t goodbye, it’s just the next chapter.
We’ll keep the pints flowing and the screens lit at O’Malley’s for as long as we can, while we start planning for the new Murphy’s Law.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us through every twist and turn.
We can’t wait to welcome you back, bigger and better, when our new pub opens its doors.
Sláinte,
The Murphy’s Law Team 💚🍻

Murphy's Law Irish Bar, located on Great South Road, is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great pub experience. The bar offers a wide range of drinks, including beer and cocktails, and the food menu is equally impressive. Recently, the bar has updated its menu to include full menu options in the sports bar all day unless the kitchen is under extreme pressure and long wait times. Additionally, Murphy's Law Irish Bar has new opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday and will be closed on Mondays for the foreseeable future. On Saturdays and Sundays, only bar snacks and pizza will be available from the menu in the sports bar while main meals are served in the restaurant on Murphy’s side. Despite some unforeseen circumstances beyond their control that led to canceling their famous pub quiz night recently, Murphy's Law Irish Bar promises to return next week Tuesday 18th with more exciting events. The staff at Murphy's Law Irish Bar are friendly and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a night out with loved ones. Overall, Murphy's Law Irish Bar is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great pub experience in Auckland.
