I’m typing this and balling my eyes out. 😭
My whole heart was holding back tears tonight.
Not because I’m just so proud of her, because I am SOOOO scream from the roof top proud! 2026 Under 16s Counties Representative, Vice Captain! 🔴⚫️⚪️ WHAAATTTTTT! 😱🥳
But because days like this are confirmation I’ve done a good job.
It’s more than getting up in the morning and making “breaky and lunches”.
It’s more the bus stop drop offs or “I need money for this and that”
It’s confirmation that when I said “I’m done, Sell it all, I’ll start again, I can be a single mum, I’ll work my ass off but I’ll make it work somehow” I really went and did it.
I started again. It was hard. Somedays are still hard. But I’m not doing it alone anymore (peep the walking headache and my widdle Sydney girl in the back of 📸✌🏽) I’m doing it with God leading the way.

Thank you Jesus for this life and it’s lessons.

It hasn’t been easy.

My little Lando is 11! 🎈
This time 11 years you arrived and smiled almost instantly and you haven’t stopped since.
You have the smartest mouth, the quickest comeback’s, the cheekiest smile and the biggest feet. You turn on all the lights at night to go down the hallway and you have the biggest sooks when you don’t win at something BUT…
you also have the biggest heart.
You care about others around you, you take extra school lunch for the kids who don’t bring lunch, you wanna give all the homeless people money, you buy 2 of everything so Peyton doesn’t miss out, you make sure I’ve eaten dinner and you talk from the moment you open your eyes until you close them at night because you feel safe.

Today wasn’t about the food.
It was about a life that was loved, a family coming together, and creating space to remember someone who meant so much to so many.
Being trusted to cater for a farewell is something we never take lightly.
It’s a privilege to quietly serve in the background while conversations are shared, stories are told, tears are shed, and memories live on.
Food has a way of bringing people together when words are hard to find. It gives family and friends a place to sit, connect, reflect, and support one another during one of life’s hardest moments.
To the family of my Shani, thank you for trusting us to be a small part of such an important day.
