1988. Top Town was on the telly. People still drove Triumphs and Valiants. And somewhere on Manchester Street in Christchurch, three friends opened a restaurant called Lone Star.
With no idea what they were starting. No idea that one day, New Zealanders all over the country would lean back in their chairs, loosen their belts, and say - 'yeeeppp. That was good'!

If you are driving, take State Highway 20 and exit at the Great South Road exit. Follow Great South Road until you spot the restaurant on your left-hand side. There is parking available near the steakhouse, but it's best to check beforehand for specific parking instructions or restrictions.
