Hauraki Social Club Hauraki Social Club is a newly established bar and restaurant located upstairs in the historic Corner Store building at the intersection of Lake and Jutland Roads. This locally owned establishment invites patrons to discover its offerings via the carpark at the rear of the building. Although it does not maintain an active online presence, customers are encouraged to connect through Instagram or email for inquiries.

On Wednesday 15th of October from 7pm, we’re hosting our next tasting event featuring Peregrine wines that embody the absolute best of Central Otago and are now a staple at HSC.

Taking a ‘hands on’ approach to winemaking since 1998, the McLachlan family strive to produce wines that embody the absolute best of Central Otago.

Peregrine’s quest for outstanding Central Otago wine begins in the three distinct sub-regions from which we draw our fruit: Bendigo, Pisa and Gibbston, where our landmark winery rises up amongst rugged rock reefs and ancient hills. In each of these locations, our commitment to organic farming and viticulture guarantees fruit of the highest quality, imparting the clearest expression of character to every vintage. This passion for the land runs in our family, and is a hallmark of Peregrine as a business.

Ticket includes a some delicious food alongside a guided tasting through the range of Peregrine’s fine wines.

On Wednesday 17th of September from 7pm, we’re hosting our next tasting event featuring one of New Zealand’s finest breweries Liberty Brewing.

Liberty Brewing proudly holds aloft the torch of unrestrained style-driven beers bulging with aroma and flavour From humble beginnings in a New Plymouth shed to the bright lights of Helensville, Master Brewer Joseph Wood and his wife Christina have made Liberty a favourite with fans and judges alike. Goodness not gimmicks makes for great beer and Joe’s love of the hop has won him more awards than he knows what to do with, including the coveted Champion Brewery Trophy.
