We have returned back home from our family holiday in Rarotonga and we thoroughly enjoyed our break away.
We have a decision to make at which event to hold a stall as unfortunately both events are running the same weekend.

From tomorrow we are HOMEBOUND to our island paradise of Rarotonga. Taking a long overdue vacation for 2 weeks and 4 days to soak up the sun 🌞 and slurp up some fresh juice from the coconut 🥥 - maybe with a bit of Malibu 😆.
So, Rukau Hut will be on a break for the next few weeks. Take care and see you all when we get back.

We are a registered small business with an A Grade in Food Certificate and have been in business since June 2017. We have made mistakes but learnt from them along the way. We have recently started operating from home on Wednesdays because it's convenient and easier for us. We only chose to do 1 day because we do other events and markets around Auckland. So with that being said. We will be open tomorrow selling our famous Rukau Pies. Our Rukau Hut sign will be outside by our letterbox.

What a day at Papatoetoe's first Food Festival!!!
Up before the crack of dawn 4am to start prepping and cooking 250 Rukau Pies for today. I'm amazed how people love food so much here in South Auckland. We surely can produce good tasty food.
Thank you all for your awesome feedback and as always your support. It got abit wet in the end, but we pretty much sold out except for 2 Rukau Bowls which someone ate 1 bowl (my Honey 😆 ).
Finally to all who made this day happen, the volunteers, the workers in the admin role, helpers, oh and of course DJ Mike for his continuous shout outs. "You guys rock". Hope to be back next year, with even more of our Rukau Pies.

Here are travel directions for a food stall/stand in Auckland:
Public Transport:
Take any bus or train to the Britomart Transport Centre. From there, take the Link Bus and get off at stop number 7057. Walk straight ahead towards the intersection and cross over to the other side of the road. The food stall/stand will be on your left.
Driving/Parking:
From Auckland CBD, head south on Nelson Street and turn right onto Fanshawe Street. Turn left onto Halsey Street and continue until you reach Jellicoe Street. Turn left onto Jellicoe Street and continue straight until you see a car park on your right-hand side. Park your vehicle here and walk towards the intersection directly opposite the car park. Cross over to the other side of the road and you will find the food stall/stand on your left.
