Day 3 (Friday) was our day of finals and what an incredible day of completion and results for us.
🥇 Antonio Lesoa - 2026 NZ National Champion!
First up was Antonio against Jaydz Taueki representing Central Hawks Bay Boxing Association. Antonio's first Nationals experience and one he'll remember for a very long time. A dominant performance and now in the records books forever. Congratulations Antonio - 2026 (Cadet Male 40kg) NZ National Champion! 💯🔥👏👏 🥊🥊 🏆
🥈 Tommy To’omalatai - 2026 NZ National Runner-up!
Next up was Tommy against Ross Wolf representing Canterbury Boxing Association. Looking to build on the success of winning last year's Nationals he was determined to back it up with another title. However, he was extremely unlucky to not come away with the win but instead losing by a very close split decision. Super proud of you Tommy. 2026 (Cadet Male 46kg) NZ National Runner-up! 💯🔥👏👏
🥈 Ryteous Sua'mene - 2026 NZ National Runner-up!
Ryteous was our next boxer up against Asma Nabizadeh representing Kirikiriroa Boxing Association. This was always going to be a tough fight for Ryteous but we're so proud of the way you fought. 2026 (Junior Female 70kg) NZ National Runner-up! 💯🔥👏👏

Last but not least was Jireh fighting his 3rd fight in as many days against Ezra Luamanu representing Te Tai Poutini. This match was expected to be the toughest challenge for Jireh and it was nothing short of spectacular, both boxers leaving it all in the ring.
