Some good news to share…

Following Liv Carter’s departure from SOUL, we’re thrilled to announce that Geeling Ching has stepped into the role of General Manager.

A true original — Geeling has been part of SOUL for over 25 years (even interviewing Olivia 17 years ago), giving her a deep and genuine understanding of everything we stand for. After a little time away pursuing other ventures, she returned five years ago as Operations Manager, working closely alongside Liv and the team across all things operational within SOUL and the Foley group. She now steps into this role with a renewed focus, dedicated solely to SOUL (pun intended).

Having built a strong friendship with Liv over the years, that connection is naturally woven into the fabric of the place — something that makes this transition feel all the more special.

Geeling leads with warmth, strength, and an unwavering commitment to both her team and our guests — a leadership style that sits at the heart of what we do.

Our guests will love her familiar face and her understanding of what we stand for and the level of service we’re so proud of. Most importantly, our team absolutely adore her.

We’re so excited for this next chapter 🤍

Yesterday we said goodbye to two absolute legends, Liv Carter and Bailey Mullin, as they finished their time at SOUL.

After 17 and 15 years respectively, they are truly treasured members of our team. While we are so sad to see them go, we are incredibly grateful for everything they have given — to SOUL, to the team, and to everyone who has had the pleasure of working alongside them, as well as the many customers who have been so well looked after and have loved them over the years.

Their impact has been lasting, their presence unforgettable, and they will always be part of the SOUL family.

We wish them both some very well-deserved time to rest, reset, and enjoy what’s next.

We love you both so much 🤍

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our beautiful Bluffie, Raewyn Lovett, passed away yesterday morning after a short but aggressive battle with cancer.

We are truly heartbroken for her and her family. Raewyn, alongside her beloved husband Keith, has been part of our SOUL family for over 20 years, travelling up each season to be part of our Bluff oyster celebrations. She brought warmth, a wicked sense of humour, and a belly-aching laugh that will be so deeply missed by all of us.

We send all our love and strength to Keith and the rest of her family, who are in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
