Very early during my holiday I was woken with the devastating news that my mum, my anchor & my lifeline had died at home unexpectedly. The grief and loss are indescribable , I’m en route now back to the MotherLand to lay my amazing mum to rest. If you still have one in your life, cherish her, call her , tell her you love her.

My last day in Newcastle & I finally found some winkles! Periwinkles are small whelks or sea snails. I used to eat them at the beach as a child. Beachside vendors used to sell them in little cartons and you ate them with a pin that you pulled the pickled seafood out with.

Best South Indian food I’ve ever tasted! Next time your in Whitley Bay, a visit to this restaurant is an absolute must, oh and the Bordeaux I washed it all down with was sublime ❤️

What an experience! I’ve always wanted to try a virtual reality free roaming multiplayer game. Zero Latency VR did not disappoint! Actually had to rip off my VR goggles to get a grip!! Felt absolutely real! Best fun stress reliever ever- zombie shooters!

This season has been an absolute blessing. Im leaving at the end of April, to explore new fresh cuisine in Glasgow and Newcastle- my home town, before jetting back to my spiritual home, Thailand- to refresh my batteries and try new cuisine in Northern Thailand in places I’ve never been to yet. Thank you to our new friends for such an incredible evening! They were spread out at multiple luxury accommodations around Waiheke including but decided on pre wedding celebrations at Mudbrick Lodge so we could fit them all in. Also a big thank you to Leon for all the fresh delicious snapper that our clients caught with him. I whipped up a coconut & kaffir lime ceviche with my own crispy chilli oil. I’ve personally been on one of his charters, it’s an awesome day out on the Hauraki Gulf and with his skill & expertise we caught a couple of kingfish!

I’ve found my new happy place for authentic Thai food. Next time your in Newmarket pop into it’s absolutely fabulous. I’ve literally been transported to Bangkok. Great wine pours also for only $11. It’s a win(e) win!

From there, it's just a short walk to Erua Road. If you prefer to drive, you can park your car along the side of Erua Road but be sure to check for any parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle.
