Unfortunately, this week we had to say goodbye to our beloved Huntaway dog, Grizz.

Grizz was a fighter; he beat cancer, and dealt with ongoing arthritis like a champ over the last year. Eventually his old age caught up with him, and due to some spinal nerve damage he was unable to walk anymore.

Grizz has been our main huntaway over the last 12 years, since just a little pup. He was a favourite for many kids and adults in our community. He was a very loud & chatty boy, and had the sweetest, most gentle nature. He would perform in our sheep and dog show with his loud bark and balancing tricks.

We have laid him to rest watching over our show paddock, where a Kōwhai tree will be planted in remembrance.

Rest in peace Grizz, we love you.

Hot off the press! Our Alpaca, Holly, has just given birth to a baby boy. It was a little unexpected as you can never know for sure that an alpaca is pregnant 😂

But our team had a feeling it would’ve been a few months ago, so we let our guard down and thought maybe it wasn’t going to happen. Then she went ahead and surprised us TODAY 🙌

Sweet lil boy, welcome to the world 🌎
