Kings Birthday Weekend at Smiths 👑🍻
If you’re heading out this long weekend, make Matakana Country Park the trip.
Go for a few laps at EVolt Racing, let the kids burn energy at Action Ninja World have a wander through the retro and craft shops, go for a little train or horse ride, then settle in at Smiths for lunch, loaded fries, caprese salad, pizzas and cocktails.

To get to Leigh Road in Matakana, you can take the Northern Explorer train from Auckland which stops at Warkworth station, then take a bus or taxi to Leigh Road.
If you prefer to drive, take State Highway 1 and exit at Warkworth. Follow Matakana Road until you reach Leigh Road. The restaurant is located on your left-hand side.
There is a public car park near the restaurant for those who choose to drive.
