A couple of weeks ago we were part of the NZSCA Cup Tasters Championship.
Sets of three coffees. One odd one out. Simple in theory, tough under pressure.
We worked with and to develop the coffees for the comp, and ran our Flavour Challenge across the weekend to put palates to the test.
Big highlight: our own took the win scoring a perfect 8 out of 8 to make the final, then correctly identified 7 out of 8 sets in just 2 minutes and 53 seconds. Becoming the 2026 Aotearoa Cup Tasters Champion.
Huge thanks to NZSCA, John Burton, every competitor involved and @7.30_y for the great photos from the day.
Proud to be part of a community that cares this much about coffee đ€

Our latest single-origin is here and about to be your favourite new filter coffee; introducing the Papua New Guinea - Kindeng.
Coming to you from the Kindeng Mill in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Around 1500 smallholder farmers contribute cherries to the mill, each growing coffee in small garden plots of around 1-2 acres. The result is a community lot that reflects the region rather than a single farm.
This coffee is a special one, it's a naturally processed coffee from Papua New Guinea, a rarity because of the necessary drying and curing time. The ripest cherries are dried slowly on raised beds for several weeks before milling. That long drying period builds fruit depth and sweetness in the cup.
We've roasted this coffee specifically for filter brewing. The lighter profile highlights clarity, fruit character, and sweetness. The profile is bold and layered. Expect rich fruit, bright citrus lift, and a chocolate finish.
Get yours today.

New bags; same us. âš
Thatâs right, our bags have changed from today. Same eighthirty coffee that you love but now with a new, bold look.
New side gussets carry the 0830 mark in gloss and matte. A small detail. Hard to miss.
A big eighthirty wordmark on the front. Clear. Easy to find on a shelf or behind the bar.
Turn the bag over and you will see the Toitƫ logo. Independent certification. Lower impact. A step forward in how we produce and package our coffee.
Soft plastics that are fully recyclable.
Coffee thatâs still roasted in the 09. As it has since 2009.

We're now stocking the Origami Dripper Air M in a sleek matte grey. This ORIGAMI dripper is made of AS resin, which is lightweight, impact-resistant, and easy to carry.
The 20 ribs (grooves) create a space between the dripper and the paper, allowing the hot water to escape smoothly, and a wide variety of brews can be brewed.
The speed can be freely controlled.
Compared to porcelain, the resin dripper has the advantage that the temperature of the hot water does not easily cool down, making it easier to maintain the temperature of the water during extraction. Order yours online now.
For 2-4 cups.

As of this week, weâre back on the airwaves!
2025 has brought a lot of exciting opportunities, but one in particular has pushed us out of our comfort zone in the best way and placed us on air, chatting to you all.
Mid last year, we teamed up with the hosted by the very talented Rosetta & Milly, and weâre super proud of this partnership. We knew from the start this partnership would be a special one.
Every Monday at 8:30am, our Marketing Manager, Christian, jumps on the mic to chat all things coffee and give away a bag of beans, and the response has been incredible.
Itâs been so good getting to know the 95bFM community, and we hope youâve been enjoying the segment as much as we have.
Catch us on air and listen out for the exclusive bFM discount each week.
