I don’t particularly like posting negative things on here cos I believe in energies and all that stuff lol or unless I’m taking the p**s jokingly.

A lot of chat around the state of the town and honestly, on the whole we don’t mind. We just show up and serve those that continue to support us. But with more shops closing down, there’s less people around - like our neighbours the Whitcoulls. So with less people around there’s probably more opportunities for people like this.

Honestly. We’re a lot quieter now - so closing down or trying in a different area are alternatives that become more appealing. Every 3 year lease I’m not automatically signing like I used to. It’s hard enough to make ends meet with pure business expenses vs business income from customers. But having to pay for unforeseen expenses like damages etc, we’ve had gas bottles stolen multiple times in the past couple years for example which costs us 1-2k each time. S**t just gets hard and makes you wonder what things could be like in a different area.

With all that said - we love it here and are grateful for the 26 years of support from the local community. It’s just a reality that some things just can’t last forever. A lot of shops move or close down and it’s a surprise for everyone - I always told you all I’d document everything - so at least you’re aware of what’s going on behind closed doors - pun intended lol. 💛

God will test you - before he bless you. 🙏💛Stay strong fellas. ✊

In all that I do - I always think about giving back. I always think about looking after those around me, and helping where I can. Yes, we’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars to feed local families in need during covid times. And over the last 15 years I’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars for various Cambodian charities.

I’d love for you to be a part of this one. Link in bio to donate - or jump into our Strava leaderboard challenge.

Thank you all 🙏💙

SOUTH AUCKLAND K’S MATTER - CAMBODIA 2026 🇰🇭💙

After raising almost $5000 last year for KidsCanNZ, it felt right within me to support children in my motherland and help break the poverty cycle in Cambodia. We’ve partnered with a cambodian NGO which provides education to rural children and gives resources / support for their families to ensure they can stay in school.

60% of children in Cambodia don’t finish primary school / have access to education. Something we can take for granted over here in the developed world.

I’m sure our efforts and dollars can really make a lasting impact and I trust Reach Siem Reap and their programmes to deliver on their objectives.

3 week solo Strava leaderboard challenge starting next Monday June 15 - more details to come.

Check the link in bio for more information on what REACH SIEM REAP is about and to donate and get the ball rolling - all donations for the month of June are getting DOUBLED 🤩🥹💛
