Introducing Haruka, one of the new additions to the DD team 🎏

Originally from Auckland's sister city in Japan, Fukuoka. Haruka has been brewing delicious coffees in some fine establishments around the world and has made a stop with us. A smooth operator, she has slotted in like a glove, we are lucky to have her looking after the community.

You will mainly see her pouring your liquid golds during the week, otherwise she is also hustling over at our friends junoauckland over the weekends. Stop by to say hello and let her know your coffee of choice, she will look after you well 🫰🏽

Taipei based D23 Coffee aging like a fine wine! We recently got our hands on these after being held at Customs for a few weeks because the receipt was not in PDF format 🫠

Anyways, like all well roasted coffees, fresh is not necessarily best. These have been tasting deliciously. We have got their latest seasonal single origin offers including a phenomenal natural Ethiopian. Delicately floral with a sweet lingering taste. While the natural Majorado from Ecuador is niche enough to make an impression with you coffee heads. Wild out with the yeast innoculated Colombian that tastes like watermelon juice. Finally, the washed Bolivian and natural Costa Rican round out the fab five in style.

Several retail bags have gone, swing by throughout the week and enjoy a cup of treat 🍬

We have extended our hours. Now serving till 2:30 everyday✌🏽

When the new season coffee Dak Coffee Roasters lands, you move quick!

These Dutch baddies have consistently been one of our favourites on the shelf. This time, we went all out with a seven coffee line up. Firstly, the Colombian 'Milky Cake' which needs no introduction, we have it in both espresso and filter options. So a tasting flight is a must!

Two limited Ethiopian number, 'Surf Jam' and ' Lemon Spritz' should set the tone as we get in to Spring. Then the Costa Rican ' Orange County' and Bolivian 'Berry Swirl' are both juicy, fruit forward. Last but not least, two more Colombians in 'JuIcy Box' and 'Silky Way' as your fun, show off to your friends options.

See you for a brew or three ✌🏽

This week we say au revoir to gong 🫡

He has fitted into the DD community seamlessly, and the cool as a cucumber nature has brought a calming energy for all of us. Thank you for all that you have offered, we will miss you on this side of town.

Luckily, we can all see him slingin' at our mate's Parable House and his upcoming Sunday coffee project Sunday Scribbles I know I will 🤍

The long awaited return of the Belfast gem PROCESS // By Ben 📼

You will be familiar with their nostalgic VCR package, then they add on to release some rare coffees in miniature helium bottles for the hype! Anyways, coffee themselves are obviously equally delicious.

In VCR format, we have two Colombian drops, a washed Geisha and a thermal shocked Pink Bourbon from the renowned Zarza team. While in the 100g helium cans, two of the finest Ethiopian crops, a 74158 and a Heirloom both processed natural anaerobically to enhance the fruitiness.

Get in, and get tasting 💨

A few weeks ago during my Tokyo visit, I met the Sapporo based NODE 🎌

They have this unique expression in their coffee where it is elegant and clean, yet highlights the fruitiness of each coffee without being too in your face. They are one of the first roasters we will be showcasing from around Japan that we met.

You will get to enjoy their seasonal filter range including two delightful Colombian Pink Bourbons on two ends of the processing spectrum, one washed, and the other double fermented honey. Finished with a dreamy white honey 74158 from Ethiopian's Alo Coffee, and a natural Java from Nicaragua's El Porvenir. Be sure to swing by for a brew, snag a box for home, or share something different with your mates✌🏽

Every DD anniversary, we are fortunate to collaborate with one of our design-forward customers. This year, we tap the talented Raphael Roake for this culturally sensitive drop!

Our thoughts have been with the people of Palestine over the past 3 years, and with the likes of other Arabic nations being terrorised more recently, we wanted to show support by using the beautiful Arabic language. With some guidance from our friends Islamic Lifestyle Store NZ
Taslim Bhamji we are able to dress this respectively.

These are available in three ways, short sleeve tee in ecru and long sleeve tee in black. Both are printed on the AS Colour Box range. While the hoody is in their Heavy Hood. Limited run. Grab it in shop, or DM here 🚴🏽‍♂️

Mānawatia a Matariki ⭐

DD has been built on relationships we have made over the years. Recently, one of the OG Robbie Whyte who now roasts for the Melbourne based Everyday Coffee returned home for a family visit, asked if he could share what he's been cooking. How could we resist?

So for this long weekend, we are slingin' a dreamy Everyday Coffee Honduras Natural flanked by two spectacular filter options, an Ethiopian and a Guatemalan washed. See you soon ✌🏽
