We’re still buzzing from an awesome August winter market 🌿

Thank you to everyone who wandered through on Sunday. The sheds were full, the food trucks were humming, and it was one of those market days that reminds us why we do it.

The Ooshie swap and trade stand was a hit, with plenty of collections getting a lot closer to finished. Lovely to see so many of you bring your spares along to share.

And to our vendors, who make the market what it is: you do the early starts, bring the creations and keep the smiles going all day. We couldn’t do it without you.

Next one is Sunday 20 September, with a bit of spring in the air 🌸

Here’s every Ooshie donated so far, ready for the swap table on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who dropped off their spares.

The swap stand runs 10am to 12pm in front of the caretakers shed. One for one, no money changes hands. Anything left over is donated to a chosen charity.

Still got spares? Bring them Sunday morning and we’ll add them to the table.

Still trying to finish that Ooshie collection? 🌿

There’s an Ooshie swap-and-trade stand at the Kumeu Market this Sunday. The stand runs 10am to 12pm, so come in that window if you want to swap. The market itself is open 9am to 2pm. Bring your spares, find the ones you’re missing, and let’s get a few collections over the line, kids and grown-up kids alike.

How it works: one for one, every time. You bring an Ooshie, you take an Ooshie. No money changes hands, and we’re not here to help anyone build an army of the same little guy. Play fair, be kind, that’s the whole rulebook.

Finished your collection? Please donate your spares so we’ve got something to start with. Drop them to the Kumeu Showgrounds office this Friday between 10am and 4:30pm, or bring them first thing Sunday morning. Any Ooshies left over after the market are donated to a chosen charity.

From custom made belts to robot mowers and everything in-between 🌿

We’ve timed this one for Father’s Day, for the dads, grandads, uncles, mates and father figures being celebrated. Over 120 indoor and outdoor stalls of local makers and growers: leather, woodwork, mead and cider, pottery, prints, plus a bite to eat while you wander. Bring him along and let him pick. And if something for yourself happens to fall into the bag on the way round, we won’t tell 😉
