SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM WAIHEKE HAS ARRIVED AT SWASHIES. 🍷
We’re giving two premium wines from Frenchman’s Hill Estate a run on the Swashies blackboard.
Winegrower Luc Desbonnets established small parcels of vines on the Waiheke coastline with a simple but ambitious belief - given the right sites, vine pedigree and uncompromising approach, New Zealand can produce wines to stand alongside some of the world's greats.
So, naturally, we thought we should try a couple.

Spring is here, summer isn’t far behind, and things are starting to get busy around the waterfront.
We’re currently looking for Bar Staff and a full-time Commis Chef to join the team at Swashies.
If you’re friendly, reliable, enjoy working with good people and reckon a waterfront workplace beats staring at four walls all day, we’d love to hear from you.
🍺 Bar Staff – previous experience preferred; a Duty Manager’s Certificate would be a bonus.
👨🍳 Commis Chef – Full Time – join our kitchen team and develop your skills in one of Auckland’s best-known seafood restaurants.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Happy Father’s Day from Swashies! ⚓️
Here’s to all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures joining us around the table today.
Good seafood, a cold drink, plenty of character and one of Auckland’s best waterfront views. It’s a pretty good recipe for spending Father’s Day together.
We’re expecting a very busy one today, so if you’re hoping for a restaurant table, please check online for any remaining availability rather than calling the team during service.
And as always, our waterfront deck and Boat Shed Bar are walk-in only, so there’s still a chance to grab a spot, pull up a chair and raise a glass to Dad. 🍻

Bit of lemon and straight into it 🍋
The Pirates Platter is one of those Swashies favourites that really doesn’t need much of an introduction.
Oysters, shrimp, smoked salmon, scallops, king prawns, mussels and battered fish, all piled onto one seriously generous platter.

⚓️ Our Updated Menu & Winter Hours Are Now Underway ⚓️
If you've been aboard recently, you may have noticed a few changes around Swashies.
Our updated menu is now live, with a handful of tweaks to selected dishes and some modest price adjustments to help us keep pace with rising costs.
The good news? Everything that makes Swashies, Swashies, remains exactly the same:

Our winter trading hours are also now in place:

From May 5th, we’re settling into our winter rhythm.
🕛 Tue–Thu: 12pm – late
🕚 Fri–Sun: 11am – late
❌ Mondays: Closed
Same great food, cold drinks, and waterfront views - just a slightly later start through the week.
Round up the crew, rug up if needed, and drop anchor with us by the marina.

To get to the seafood restaurant on Westhaven Drive in Auckland by public transport, you can take any bus or train that goes to the Wynyard Quarter. From there, it's a short walk along the harbour front to Westhaven Drive.
If you prefer to drive, head towards Auckland CBD and look for signs for Viaduct Harbour. Once you're in this area, keep heading west along the waterfront until you reach Westhaven Drive. There is plenty of parking available in the surrounding streets and carparks.
