A HUGE thank you to TransNet NZ Ltd for reaching out to Moody Burgz and giving us the opportunity to be part of something so big, and for the easy communication throughout the whole thing.
This experience has given us so much more than we ever imagined when we started this little business. To be trusted with an opportunity like this, to be pushed outside our comfort zone, and to see just how far Moody Burgz can go is amazing.
Behind those 700 combos were hours and hours of preparation, planning, hard work and a whole lot of passion.

Big events really do take stress levels to a whole new level!

700 combos coming up and I’m over here trying to get my s**t together because I am NOT ready! 🤣🍔🔥

There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t always realise. The hours of prep, the planning, the organising, ordering stock, getting everything ready, and all the hours we put in BEFORE we even arrive at an event. 🤯

People see us serving burgers out the window, but they don’t see the late nights, early mornings, endless prep, stress, and hard work that goes into making these events happen. There is SO much more to running a food truck than just cooking and serving you guys! ❤️

We absolutely love what we do, but big events are a whole different level of pressure, especially when you’re preparing hundreds of meals and want everything to run smoothly. 💪🏼
This will be our biggest private event yet and ive got 100 new grey hairs 😅😅

So, 700 combos it is… and somehow, we’ll get it done! 😂😅 Wish us luck because Moody Burgz is about to be BUSY! 🍔🔥❤️

I just want to put something out there ❤️

I saw a post of people slamming a small business over the price of their loaded apples, and it actually really bothered me.
Running a food business is expensive. There are ingredients, wages, power, insurance, fuel, equipment, packaging, GST, wastage, endless hours other then dealing with customers and countless other costs that people don't see behind the scenes. A common rule in the food industry is that your food cost needs to be marked up substantially just to cover all those overheads and actually make a profit. Gordan Ramsay once stated x4 the cost.
Small businesses are NOT charities. They are businesses, and the people behind them are working incredibly hard to make a living.
Comparing a small local business to McDonald's, supermarkets or huge corporations isn't really fair. Large companies buy products in massive quantities, have huge purchasing power and completely different operating costs. A small business simply can't compete with that pricing and it shouldn't have to.
If you don't want to pay the price of a small business, that's completely okay. You don't have to buy it. Just carry on with your day, but publicly humiliating, attacking or putting down a small business because you don't agree with their pricing is unnecessary.
You have absolutely every right to think something is too expensive. But there is also a person, a family and a huge amount of hard work behind that business.

If you want small businesses in your community to survive, sometimes the best thing you can do is simply support them, recommend them and understand that you're paying for more than just the food. ❤️

Support small. Shop local. And remember there's a real person behind the business. 🫶

So to the women who is getting slammed over her toffee apples, ignore them and keep going, used to affect me when people commented on our pricing but ive learnt to ignore it and thats all you can do at the end of the day. Quality over Quantity ♥️

From the city center:
1. Head south on Queen Street.
2. Turn right onto Customs Street West.
3. Continue onto Fanshawe Street.
4. Merge onto State Highway 1 via the ramp to Wellington.
5. Take exit 439 for Greenlane East toward Ellerslie-Panmure Highway.
6. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Ellerslie and merge onto Greenlane East.
7. Turn right onto Great South Road.
8. Turn left onto Ararimu Road.

Parking options may be available along Ararimu Road or nearby streets, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions or time limits in the area.
