Say hello to our lovely Laura, one of the talented pastry chefs behind some of the beautiful creations in our cabinet this season.
Originally from Toulouse, France, Laura’s love for pastry started long before it became her career. Inspired by her grandmothers from a young age, she later began baking alongside her mother for her restaurant, and somewhere along the way, a childhood passion turned into something she knew she wanted to pursue.
Eventually, a love of travel brought Laura all the way to New Zealand, drawn in by the beautiful landscapes, lifestyle, and the opportunity to experience life on the other side of the world.
In the kitchen, Laura loves experimenting with new flavour combinations and finding fresh ideas to bring to her creations. But her favourite part? Seeing someone genuinely enjoy something she’s made (heart emoji)
For Laura, pastry has always been about making people happy, and we’re so very happy to have her sharing that passion with us here at La Petite Fourchette.

Anyone else reeeeealllly missing summer fruit right about now??
We may be deep in winter, but La Mango is doing a very good job of transporting us back to the beach and warmth.
Mango compote, light mango mousse and soft almond sponge - bright, fresh, and basically a little hit of summer when Auckland is giving us anything but.. honestly, we’ll take that.

Arriving daily from our sister store are crates full of baguettes, sourdoughs, brioche, pastries and proper French loaves, straight from their ovens and onto our shelves.
Get in quick though, they never stick around for long.

To get to Daldy Street using public transport, you can take bus routes 020, 030, or 035 and alight at the Victoria Park Market stop. From there, walk towards the intersection of Union Street and Daldy Street.
If you're driving to Daldy Street, take Fanshawe Street and turn right onto Halsey Street. Take another right onto Gaunt Street and then a left onto Daldy Street. There are paid parking options available along the street as well as in nearby parking lots.
