Melt Cafe making Coffee and Kai for you is a coffee shop that has an interesting backstory. The owners started with a real fruit ice cream machine they purchased off Trademe and later bought a 1975 horse float which they completely overhauled to sell ice cream and amazing coffee to relaxed holiday makers under pohutakawa trees across the road from the beach. The organic and spray-free quality of the fruit used in their ice creams is what sets them apart from others. They have had two successful seasons in Whananaki opposite the Otamure D.O.C campground, and some of the kids talk about them as if they have always been there. It's no surprise that selling ice cream and coffee under pohutakawa trees across from the beach must be one of the sweetest jobs in the world. Melt Cafe making Coffee and Kai for you is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a unique experience with great-tasting organic ice creams and amazing coffee.
