Job Opportunity at Tasca Beach, Orewa
we are seeking passionate and talented Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our dynamic culinary team.
Key responsibilities
• Assist the Head Chef in the overall management and coordination of the kitchen team
• Oversee the daily preparation and production of high-quality, innovative dishes
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
• Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to enhance the guest experience
What we're looking for
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Qualification in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
