RedCrab Thai Restaurant & Bar will be closed from Saturday, 25 July until Monday, 17 August for our annual Winter Holiday .

Thai restaurants are known for their vibrant flavors, aromatic spices, and fresh ingredients. Red Crab Thai on Oneroa Waiheke Island by Guy Thai Restaurant is no exception to this reputation. With its stunning 180-degree views of Oneroa and friendly Thai charm, it's no wonder that this restaurant has quickly become one of the best on the island.
The service at Red Crab may take a bit longer than expected, but once you've placed your order, the staff is helpful without being overly attentive. The island time mentality is embraced here, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
One of the standout features of Red Crab is their fantastic wine list. They offer a wide range of quality local varieties at reasonable prices. The Man o War chardonnay is a must-try and pairs perfectly with their flavorful dishes.
Speaking of dishes, the entree of Tod Mun Pla (fish cakes) comes highly recommended, but the Gaeng Massamun (Lamb Massamun curry) is a true treat and generously portioned. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Jungle Curry with spare ribs for a surprising twist on traditional Thai flavors.
Despite some room for improvement in service, Red Crab offers excellent value for money with its starter platter, two mains, two beers/wines, and two desserts coming in at $110. Overall, if you're looking for delicious Thai cuisine with breathtaking views on Waiheke Island, Red Crab Thai on Oneroa by Guy Thai Restaurant should be at the top of your list.
