UPDATE:
On 6th August, Gilbert aka Dad was rushed to hospital with a serious health emergency. He underwent a 15-hour surgery, followed by further lifesaving surgery when complications arose. He has been in ICU ever since, and we have barely left his side.
We’re incredibly relieved to share that he has pulled through the worst of it, though he still has a long road of recovery ahead.
This is why the shop has been closed — we dropped everything to be by his side, and haven’t been able to think about anything except Gilbert fighting for his life. Now that he’s through the worst of it, we’re facing the reality of what comes next — for our family and for the shop. We’re hopeful we’ll be able to reopen soon, and will share updates as soon as we know more.

’m slicing the baked biscoff cheesecake while I wait for the Whittakers to melt then hello…. Cheesecakes on a stick dipped in Whittakers and topped with all the stuff.

Bit of a disastrous start this week! Came in Tuesday night to get a jump on things and the hot water cylinder had burst and flooded the entire shop. Wednesday had to boil water, Thursday couldn’t make a thing till the plumber & electrician had finished. But hey Costcos got another shipment of $10 butter, the $6 tubs are back Instore and we’re nearly caught up, so alls well that ends well!
There’s heaps of cookies, cookie bars & pies and we’re still making more desserts (including more Dubai)I’m just having 5 minutes… which means 30 minutes xx

I was gonna make this ages ago but one of my children gave me the stick eye and accused me of cultural appropriation. I felt bad so never made it & we’ve only had watercress and pork bones for dinner for the past 2 years 🤣🤣 Anyhooo it’s all good now I got the sign off… Dubai cheesecake AND I made Dubai chocolate cakes too.
