If even for one night we made you feel closer to home, then every sacrifice was worth it.

Still feeling the love from Jay R: Your Valentine last February 14. For a few hours that night, we weren’t just in New Zealand, para tayong umuwi sa pinas. Magkakasama. Kumakanta. Tumatawa.

Behind the lights, the music, and the smiles was a journey not many people see, sleepless nights, doubts, risks, and silent prayers hoping everything would come together. Creating events like this is never easy… but seeing all of you singing your hearts out made every sacrifice worth it.

There were moments I asked myself, kakayanin ba natin ‘to? But when I looked around that night, I saw joy, connection, and pride in being Filipino, and I knew… this is why we do what we do.

To my team, thank you for believing in the vision even when it felt impossible. This dream was carried by people with big hearts who chose passion over comfort.

And to everyone who supported us, bumili ng tickets, nag-share, nagdala ng friends and family, at naging parte ng gabing iyon, you didn’t just attend a show. You helped create a moment our kababayans will remember.

HomeCooked has never been just about food. It has always been about giving our kababayans something we all miss, the feeling of home. The music. The laughter. The togetherness.

Your support keeps our passion alive. Every visit, every cheer, every smile tells us to keep going, keep dreaming, and keep creating experiences that bring our culture closer to our hearts.

To get to the Filipino restaurant on New North Road, those using public transportation can take the train to Kingsland Station, then walk along New North Road for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, they can take the bus stopping at Morningside Drive and walk for about 5 minutes to get there.
