To our wonderful customers,
It’s with heavy hearts that we share the news that Dit is It will be closing its doors, with our last day of trading on Saturday, 24th May 2025.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, and one we haven’t taken lightly. The past two years have been an amazing journey — filled with unforgettable moments, laughter, learning, and the joy of meeting so many incredible people. We are deeply grateful for the support, kindness, and encouragement we’ve received from each and every one of you along the way.
Tom and I are now ready for some much-needed family time, to slow down a little and cherish what matters most. While Dit is It may be coming to an end, Tom will continue to do what he loves most — being the amazing chef that he is — just in a new setting where he can fully focus on his passion for food.
We also want to say the biggest thank you to our incredible team. Dit is It simply wouldn’t have been what it was without them. Together we’ve shared countless laughs, long days, and proud moments — and those memories will stay with us forever. We’ve been so lucky to work alongside such passionate, caring, and hard-working people. They have been the heart and soul of this place, and they will be truly missed by both of us.
If you have any Dit is It vouchers, please pop in and use them this week before we close.

1. Bus: From downtown Auckland, you can take the bus number 973 from Britomart Transport Centre. Get off at the stop near Birkenhead Library on Hinemoa Street. From there, it's just a short walk to Birkenhead Avenue.
2. Ferry: Another option is to take a ferry from downtown Auckland to Birkenhead Wharf. Ferries operate regularly from the Downtown Ferry Terminal. Once you arrive at Birkenhead Wharf, it's about a 10-minute walk up Hinemoa Street to reach Birkenhead Avenue.

From downtown Auckland:
1. Head northwest on SH1/Northern Motorway.

6. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Hinemoa Street.
