Not for walk-in or same-day purchase, sorry! Our buko pies are made to order, so we take pre-orders for:

Happy Father’s Day to the man who does so much, often without being asked. ❤️

This greeting is coming a little later than planned, after a long and tiring day of finishing orders, church, grocery shopping and resupplying some of the menu. Life and the business got in the way, as they often do. But I didn’t want the day to end without telling you how much you mean to us.

You are an incredible father.

I see the way you show up, not just in the big moments, but in all the ordinary ones too. The patience, the time, the responsibility, the little things you do that can easily go unnoticed. You don’t always make a big deal out of what you do. You just quietly get on with it and make sure we’re okay.

And somehow, while being a dad and everything that comes with it, you’ve also become such a huge part of this crazy little business of mine.

You believed in me before I had much to show for it. You’ve sat through countless brainstorming sessions, helped me bounce around ideas, driven me around for supplies and deliveries, helped set up and pack down markets, washed an unreasonable number of dishes, and stepped in wherever you were needed.

This business would not have taken off the way it did without you.

But more than the driving, the lifting, the deliveries or the dishwashing, it’s the fact that you’ve always made me feel like I don’t have to figure everything out alone.

Today, I hope you know that all of it is seen and appreciated.

Happy Father’s Day, Baboo.

I have a problem with SUGBA … 👀

They’ve made Spanish bread that’s WAY too soft, way too tasty, way too buttery, and honestly… way too easy to finish. 😂

Like, how am I supposed to practise self-control when the bread is this good?!

Big shoutout to another small business owner, Sugba, for these delicious Spanish breads! 🥖❤️ You can really taste the care that goes into what they make.

Support small businesses, guys. Sometimes the best finds come from the people baking away in their own little corner of the community. 🫶

Sugba, please explain why I can’t stop eating these. 😂👏

Jeeez! What an experience. 🥹💜

Waikato Ube Festival, you were AMAZING! 🇵🇭💜

Yesterday was one for the books. All 14 of our whole cakes were completely wiped out, with our ube cakes selling out in just under an hour! 😭

And the sweetest part? We had customers travelling all the way from Rotorua just to get their hands on our Ube Leche Flan Cake. 🥹💜 That honestly means more to us than you know.

Our feet are tired. Our bodies are aching EVERYWHERE. 😂 But our hearts? Absolutely full. ❤️

To everyone who came by, bought from us, brought their friends, came back for seconds, lined up, said hello, shared our posts, and supported Make & Bake yesterday, THANK YOU. You made the long drive, the early morning, the hours on our feet and every tired muscle completely worth it. 🥹

And a BIG, BIG thank you to the amazing organisers Ricky Fernandez Mel Fernandez and Tita Shiela for all the time, energy and heart you poured into making the Waikato Ube Festival happen. What an incredible celebration of ube, Filipino food and our community. 💜
