To get to a Thai restaurant located on Khyber Pass Road in Auckland, you have several transportation options. If you prefer public transport, you can take the train and get off at the Newmarket Station. From there, walk towards Khyber Pass Road and turn left until you reach the restaurant.
Alternatively, if you are driving, you can park your car along one of the side streets near Khyber Pass Road or use one of the paid parking spots nearby. To access Khyber Pass Road via car from the city center, head towards Parnell Rise and continue onto Grafton Bridge. Turn right onto Khyber Pass Road and continue until you reach your destination.

Established in 1988 as Chang Thong Restaurant, it has since been purchased by Abdul who has taken the quality and service to new heights. The restaurant underwent a renovation in 2006 and is now known as Red Elephant, boasting impressive upmarket furnishings and decorations that were purchased in Thailand.
One of the largest restaurants of its kind in Auckland, Red Elephant can seat up to 120 diners and is perfect for both small and large groups. They even have a private dining area for those special occasions. All staff members are Thai-born, ensuring an authentic experience.
But what really sets Red Elephant apart is their cuisine. Head Chef Noi Nillaor brings vast experience from working in some of Thailand's finest five-star hotels and restaurants, including preparing food for the Royal Kingdom Family. The dishes are light and fresh with delicately balanced spices that create a harmony of flavors, colors, and textures designed to appeal to both the eye and palate.
We highly recommend sharing dishes banquet-style so you can try a variety of flavors. Overall, Red Elephant offers a unique dining experience that will leave you wanting more.
