A modest harvest from our small backyard big garden. A very giving and productive backyard garden yielded a bounty that we promptly prepared and cooked. The courgette and Parmesan bake chips were a resounding success with the 3 children, who fiercely competed for them. I am grateful for the considerable effort my daughter Jade invests in our garden.

GLUTEN FREE CAMPING
We undertook a random two-day camping trip with Miss 6, whose dietary requirements are strictly gluten-free, along with her grandmother and great-grandmother. The trip involved exploring various locations in the Coromandel region, including Thames and Pauanui, ultimately resulting in land acquisition. To ensure Miss 6's dietary requirements were met, we carefully selected and prepared a variety of gluten-free food items, including cold cooked chicken, ham, beets, feta, tomato, potato and egg salad, broccoli and cauliflower salad, crackers, bananas, strawberries, chocolate dip, and a single gluten-free cupcake. The quantity of food prepared was sufficient for the duration of the trip, obviating the need for additional purchases.

Undoubtedly, this season stands out in our garden, where nothing surpasses the delight of retrieving a fresh, succulent organic tomato for a snack. You simply can't beat the sensation or the flavor. I MYSELF and not gluten free however, my daughter and her 3 children are. So if I am
not sharing food I can sometimes have my vogel’s toast.

Even though we are quite strict on junk food for our 3 children, they do get treats sometimes. Best bit is after a few bites he didn’t want anymore.
