What a day in Green Bay! 🧡 Green Bay Community House recently hosted its Big Readiness Day Out, where locals got hands-on with the Community Emergency Hub simulation, picked up tips from Auckland Emergency Management, Community Waitākere and the Whau Community Readiness Network, and the tamariki had a ball with the bouncy castle and sausage sizzle.

Huge thanks to the team at Green Bay Community House for bringing whānau together and helping The West be more prepared.

The green lipped mussels. Steamed in either white wine, garlic and cream or our thai yellow curry and coconut broth. With garlic bread for the essential broth-mopping duties.

A little local history. The Crown Lynn ceramic factory made New Lynn what it is, from 1925 right through to 1989. The iconic white swan vase came out of that factory and sat on half the mantlepieces in New Zealand.
