The Urban Community Garden on Wood Street in Papakura is a vibrant hub of sustainability and community spirit. Recently rebranded from the Papakura Food Hub, this garden has become a cherished space for locals to connect with nature and each other.
One of the standout initiatives at the Urban Community Garden is the "Adopt a Planter" program, launched by Gateway Community Trust. This initiative invites individuals and families to engage in gardening by adopting their own planter. It's an excellent opportunity for those living in apartments or with limited outdoor space to cultivate their green thumbs.
