Although they are closing their doors for good due to COVID-19 and staff shortages, the cafe has been known for their fresh baked muffins such as Blueberry Crunch or Apple & Cinnamon. The team also offer kefir sodas from The Wild Fermentary that come in cute 330ml bottle size. If you are looking for weekend work, Coastal Cafe Maraetai is hiring for Saturdays and Sundays starting from April 2nd, experience not required but training provided.

We would like to say a huge thank you for all your support over the last year and a half, especially through these recent hard times.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and staff shortages we are having to close our doors for good from Thursday 31st March. Our last day open is Wednesday.

To our loyal customers, we will be closed this Saturday 26th and Monday 28th. We will be open on Sunday 27th and open again from Tuesday 1st. This is the last Saturday we will closed, next weekend will be back to normal and we’ll be welcoming back Ethan who has been away with an injury.

If you are traveling by public transport, take the bus that goes to Maraetai and get off at Maraetai School Road. If you are driving, head towards Maraetai on Beachlands-Maraetai Road, turn left onto Rewa Road and then right onto Maraetai School Road. Parking is available on the side of the road close to the coffee shop.
